a new favorite

Just editing some pictures today and came across this one from the last session...I love how the older sister is looking at the younger one. Someday maybe they'll bicker over who stole whose shirt, or who got more for Christmas, but at this moment they got along perfectly and were best friends.

This beautiful mother wanted some pictures of just her with her girls. What a great idea. We had a wonderful time, and it seems they don't have to pretend to have a good time together. They have a family session scheduled for November, so check back for pictures of the boys too, but for now enjoy these beauties.

playing catch up

I'm usually pretty good about getting just a few previews up for the parents to see shortly after the session, but this is more than a week old now. After being away from home, I've got lots of catching up to do. I hope it was worth the wait for the mommy of this beautiful girl. She loved spinning, and I loved how the sun was beating on her loooong hair. I have so many to share with them, but for now this will have to be enough.

the little session that could

Two year olds will be two year olds. But what did your mom teach you about giving up? I think I can, I think I can! Stick around long enough and the tantrums will fade, and the smiles will come out. This little girl is a doll.

lil' farmer

My good friend Jamie asked me to take some pictures of her little guy in front of a cornfield. We didn't have to look far to find one of those.

I think him wearing this hat may be the cutest thing I've ever seen...







And I know part of the reason she wanted to do this was to get that blue denim against the greeeeeen cornfield, but I couldn't resist on this one. He is a man after my heart!
