Happy as can be
This family isn't faking it. This is the second time I've been with them, and both times they were just so happy to be together. These smiles were on their faces even when my camera was off. And they are so friendly and warm towards me. Love them!

Always a treat
This session was another exciting one for me, because I had photographed the older brother as a newborn and hadn't seen him since. These two have beautiful babies, just gorgeous. Baby sister looks just like him when he was a newborn. And he has turned into such a handsome little boy with great big brown eyes.

Just before the heat set in...
We had this session early in the morning, and I'm so glad we did, because it was a scorcher. I don't think I set foot outside the rest of the day! :) Remember
this little guy
? Well he's much bigger now but still a pretty little guy. Love this family!

Glowing
I thought the mommy of these two cuties just glowed. And as I look back at these, I can see how happy she is, even though she's probably a little sleepy here. :) I know I didn't look this good in the days following my babies' arrivals!
This one cracks me up!
Can you see a resemblance to his older brother? :)
Ooops!
A few days after that session, I did this one. The dad is the student minister at my church and needed some shots for publicity pamphlets. After I took these, he announced that he will be leaving to plant a church, and now it makes me so sad to look at them. He and his family will be greatly missed!

It's mutual
This is the third time I've had the pleasure of photographing this family, and this was our first time shooting outside. The mom of this little cutie is always so excited to see the pictures; she always asks when she can expect them and then emails me just to let me know she can't wait. I love that about her! It makes me excited when my clients are excited. That means they may love their pictures as much as I do, and that makes me so happy.
I've seen so many great photographer's works lately; they have such different styles. Some focus on the serious looks from the kids and neat textures. Some have really great processing making the pictures look so different, truly works of art. I feel like after 3 years of doing this full time I've nailed down my own style, and I keep it in mind at each session. I want nothing more than to give the parents something that shows the interaction and love between them and their children (getting good shots of the kids alone is just gravy). I don't think they need any processing except for a little color pop and sharpening; I think the real feel of the photo is in the emotion of the subjects, and that's all it needs. I hope that is the feeling you get when you see my work. So here is the happiest one year old I know and her wonderful parents who are very much in love!
