This cute couple is awaiting the birth of their first child, and I think that's such a magical time. Their baby furniture was delivered while I was there, and I just remember how exciting a time that is...preparing the room, washing the baby clothes, nesting like mad! They will be a happy adorable family, and I can't wait to meet the little guy.

Or should I say "crickin'"? Occasionally someone from my hometown will fill out the form on my website asking if I'll be in town anytime soon. That's always so neat and fun to see those come in. Since I was planning on this trip, we were able to make this one work. I love this little girl's curls and big brown eyes, and I am so excited to edit the rest of this set. However I'm still at my parents' house, and my power cord is at home, so these two are all I could fit in before my battery died. As a child, I loved to go wading, and I think I still enjoy it just as much. I think she liked it too. I'm glad her daddy suggested going to this little pocket of the country :)

Tonight I had my most challenging shoot to date. Not only was it 90 degrees (in the shade), but little Mister wasn't so much into me or my camera. After I got to spend a little time with him, I figured out that he loved to be loved (who doesn't, right?). He was a big cuddler. He responded better to my hugs than he did to my jumping or singing or my candy :) His red hair and shirtless overalls with his bare feet made it easy to love him. Oh my goodness! And his twin sister! Wow, she was gorgeous. I love how mom had them dressed too. So although I was exhausted and thirsty by the end, I'm thinking it was worth it.



Mom even had the dog in a red bandana! I love it!

Oh the Joy...

I had the pleasure of photographing the family of one of the founders of eTapestry tonight (the software company that I worked for in a previous life). They just had their first grandchild, and you could feel the joy she has brought to them. Everyone is crazy about her. Including me!



Not normally my thing, but I did get a few non-kiddo shots.


And definitely not normally my thing, but a posed group shot...just because I'm in the mood :) And because this is a good lookin' group!

it's amazing...

....how much we love these little guys that just poop and pee all over the place :)  I went and got some yummy blankets to put this little guy on for our shoot.  Let's just say he marked his territory!  I expected that though, so I'm pretty forgiving :)  It was so worth it.  My copyright mark is on my other computer (I just got a mac), so bare with me until I get my other one transferred.

He must've been dreaming of touchdowns, because we could NOT get his arms down ;)

Dreamy

I love to photograph blue eyes, because they reflect so much light. However, these two brown-eyed beauties (or one beauty and one handsome) had really dreamy brown eyes. His mom and dad were joking with him about how "you'll never be in GQ if you don't sit still"...I know they were joking, but is he not GQ worthy?! If there is a fashion magazine out there for 2 year old boys, he should grace the cover.



His gorgeous sister happened to be a bit ticklish.



If I were to guess, I'd say she might be a daddy's girl, because she sure seems to be enjoying this kiss on the cheek.
