at a loss...

I have no clue which pictures to post from this session. The leaves, the people, everything was so great. I will post these 3 and the rest will remain a surprise for mom and dad!

This little stinker is the family clown and is always making them laugh.

Teenage boys don't want to be in front of the camera--but she was cracking her brother up and got me a natural smile...even better, a laugh!

E-Z

This was my easiest session yet. Well worth the commute! This sweet little tiny 8 1/2 month old gave me no trouble at all. Such a good girl! The only downer about this session was that her daddy was in bed with the flu and couldn't be there for moral support, or for a family shot. Hope he's feeling better now!

a swap

I was at a client's house photographing their newborn when I saw a picture on their wall that caught my eye. It was the most perfect black and white engagement picture I had ever seen. So I asked who took it. Then just by coincidence, my husband had been treating a patient of his who gave him the website of the same photographer I had just found out took the picture that caught my eye. It was taken by the husband/wife team of wedding photographers Kevin and Alicia Monahan. And since they are local, I started referring people to them whenever they would ask me about wedding photographers. I also emailed them just to tell them how great they are! Then I asked how much they would charge to take some shots of my husband and I since our wedding pictures weren't quite as candid as what we would've liked; plus we've changed quite a bit since then. GRACIOUSLY, they offered a service trade instead. Now I know I am getting the better end of the deal on this one! To make a long story even longer, we decided to take the kids with us and they foolishly agreed. ;) I'm so excited to see how theirs turned out. Here are a few from my camera. I am resting assured that Kevin (photoshop genius) will be able to re-work anything that's 'off' as far as my processing goes.

Check out their site whenever you get a chance, and if anyone is looking for a wedding photographer who is reasonable yet completely amazing, book them!

This image was taken with a lens they let me use for this shot; 70-200mm and VERY heavy. My left bicep is sore from trying to keep it steady. No kidding.

I have to post this one. We ended up walking 2.7 miles, and our daughter and their little girl ended up holding hands for about 2.5 of those miles :) It was so adorable. Here they are being goofy.

disney or bust

This lucky little girl goes to Disney about as much as I go to her house to photograph her! :) Actually this is just the second time, but both times I've gone she's told me about her latest trip to the magic kingdom. She's well traveled! Little bro wasn't feeling so great, but with tissues in hand we did what we could. :)

And mom and dad will know what I mean when I say it was nothing short of a miracle that we got this one at all...

honeymooners

These two were getting ready to celebrate their anniversary with some time away from home and the baby. But you would've thought they were on their honeymoon :) It was just so adorable to see them all together. And I must've told them a hundred times how cute little M was.

another

from the last session. I wanted to save this for mom and dad to see in their gallery, but now that it is up, I want to share it. Isn't she beautiful?
