easygoing

This baby was a lot like her mommy and daddy...easygoing. They just went along with whatever I wanted to do. It was such a pleasure photographing them. And look at this adorable girl!

Stages

It was really neat to see this baby grow and change in her first year. I tried something a little different to show her growth. Here she is sitting and standing next to herself on the couch. From left to right..newborn Willa, 7 month Willa, and 1 year old Willa. Disclaimer: this takes nearly perfect conditions and would not work in every house. What a cutie.

Christmas crunch

Lots of things are going on around here that are preventing me from keeping my blog updated, but here is a favorite from a recent session. More from this one to come after Christmas!

does this baby cry?

That's what I was asking myself as this little guy lay awake for the beginning of our session. He was squirmy, but other than that he was pretty content being awake. He did drift off to sleep for the latter half, and then just as I was gathering my belongings, he started to wail! I guess he worked up an appetite with all of that squirming :)



Brightest newborn eyes. Ever.



"You think you can contain me with your swaddling but I will get free! Mwaa ha ha ha!"



Soft little feet that have never been walked on:

same name

This little peanut is the first I've met who has the same name as my daughter, as well as the same nickname. It was weird saying it outloud to someone else since I've never done that. Isn't she cute? She and her big sister look just alike too.

my new club

I think I'll start a club, SWA (seniors without acne). I of course cannot be a member of it since I was not a clear-skinned senior, but I could just be the founder. Funny coincidental story involving this senior: at the end of our session I told her it would be at least a few weeks before I had her proofs ready since I was going to be at Disney World the following week. She said, "everyone is going to Disney World this week!" I said in disappointment, "really?" thinking we had booked our trip during a very slow season with small crowds. She said, "yeah the physical therapist I shadow at the hospital is going with his family next week too." I laughed and said, "is his name Greg?" She was talking about my husband. We had no idea beforehand that she was shadowing my husband! Anyway, here is the newest member of SWA. :)







Volleyball, anyone?

I can't believe she's a senior. It seems like only yesterday she gave me a picture with a Mickey Mouse sticker on it and wrote, "Mickey is cool and so are you". I'm pretty sure she's the cool one now! Here are a few of my favorites of her. She obviously got all of the looks in my family! :)

it's electric!

Check out the eyes on these two. They have not been tampered with, and wow they are electric. I love love love them.



Enough to make any grandma nervous! Don't worry though, mom and dad were standing by!





Turns out the little guy is a fan of the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and luckily I knew the song.



The throwing of the leaves doesn't always turn out so well!



And I wasn't so sure this was going to end with a laugh or a cry the way he was covering his face!



And it's a laugh!
