The backyard of all backyards
Someone's been keeping busy in this backyard. It is just beautiful. It was just FULL of flowers and green grass. Add an adorable family and this is what you get!
He had A LOT of fun with the hose! I was about this wet too, but mine was all sweat!

In my own backyard...
...practically. I laughed when this new mommy called me inquiring about newborn pictures and told me where she lived. I didn't have far to go! I felt funny packing everything up in my car but I sure didn't want to carry it. This little doll was easy to photograph and so beautiful. It was her big sister's birthday too, so that made the day extra special! We spent the morning and early afternoon wondering if we would have enough light to do this, and just before our scheduled time the sun came out. It was a double blessing, because the earlier rain made it possible for the dad to be there too.

bracelets
I love it when babies aren't just a little bit chubby, but when they have so much chub that they look like they are wearing bracelets up and down their arms and legs. My little girl was at least this chubby if not more, so seeing this one just made my day. These chubs disappear all too quickly, and then they become skinny kids who won't eat their dinner! :) At least mom has these to look back on.
And this little girl is honestly as sweet as she looks. She was probably the most polite, helpful little four year old I've ever met!

heat? no problem!
This session was probably on the hottest day of the year yet. So I wanted to make sure they were rewarded with some water fun after we were done. Special thanks to my mom and aunt for letting us use their property down south for this one!
Mom wanted to do some black and whites for their new bathroom, so I thought these might do!
And some swinging action in the golden sunset just for fun...
What a difference!
Last time I saw this little guy he was so attached to his mom and so afraid of me it wasn't even funny! Wow, this time it was completely different. I was there for his new baby sister, but he was trying to steal the show :) I love 2nd sessions--and 3rd, 4th, etc; it always seems to be easier on the kids. I'm not a stranger anymore I guess. This family just welcomed their third beautiful child. She is soft, sweet, and loved by her big sister and brother, and of course her mommy and daddy.
This next one just makes me laugh. Look at how he's looking at his big sis. I have an equally cute one of him looking at me, but I just can't pass up this one!
I have to give her mommy a shout out here. She made this hat and blanket after just a few lessons, and I am so impressed!
