Such a treat

I've shot a couple of one year olds lately that I hadn't seen since their newborn sessions, and the anticipation of seeing them at one year really excites me! It is so neat to see what they have grown into--they nearly always look completely different than I imagine. This cutie turned into the spitting image of his dad and is very loved by his mommy and daddy (and my camera)!

Mommy/daughter day

I've lost track of how many times I've photographed this family (always a pleasure!), but this time mom wanted to do something different and set up a little something for just her and her daughter. Rumor has it she has been checking the blog for a little teaser since the day we shot these, and hopefully she'll be pleased with these :)

In my Easter dress

I don't know how many people I've told about how adorable this little girl was when she looked at me in my t-shirt and jeans (with holes in the knees) and asked me, "Is that your Easter dress?" As it turns out, she was in hers, and she thought I must be in mine also. I told her mine was at home, and then after a bunch more questions including where did I get it, she told me I should go home and get it and wear it back there. I would've, except I drove 45 minutes to get there. :) Maybe next time.



You can see how motherly she is already by the way she's shushing the baby in the picture on the right above. She was also a talented dancer, as she showed me so many times! :)















Just have to post this last one, as their mom said, "that's the real life photo". I'm not sure if I could've gotten more different expressions if I tried.

Incredibaby

I don't know if these two boys could be any more precious. Big brother was spunky and adorable, and baby brother was so laid back and equally adorable. He was 10 days old, and not once cried or stirred during my time with him. It seemed almost too easy, but I'll take it! Makes up for the difficult ones! :) I am glad I got to capture this joyous moment in this family's life. We had a chilly spring morning, but it was sunny which is just I was hoping for!

I thought maybe this little guy was going to give me trouble when I first arrived. He proved me way wrong though, sleeping so peacefully through most of our time together, not soiling ANY of my stuff! And get this: I've done 2 newborns since this session, and they also have not marked their territory on my territory either! More on those later, but here is the sweet little guy from the post below this one. Oh, and I must mention that he had the most adorable pouty lip ever, and I had to put one of that one here!

booking July

I've had a few people who have contacted me to schedule sessions and were disappointed when I told them I am booked until July. If you have a baby on the way or really wish to have summer or fall photos taken, please contact me well in advance. I just really don't like to disappoint anyone, and I equally dislike telling people no! :)

I can't have a post without a picture. Here's a sweet 9-day old who was more than cooperative for me. More of him to come...

how small is 5 lbs?

Very small! This little girl was 5 pounds, just like her sister when she was born, and at full term. So precious.









And what a perfect time to have a baby...spring just doesn't get any better than this. Big sister loved being outside, and I was so glad to be there too!
