I've been a bad blogger

...and it's only going to get worse. I eventually want to replace all of the pictures on my website with new stuff, and I'd hate to ruin the fun by posting them here first. So I'm not going to be sharing as many pictures on my blog. It's been newbornpalooza lately though, and I really love them. Here is a recent favorite. This little guy was 7 days old, and I was thrilled to get some eye contact!

...to describe how happy I am for this new mommy and daddy. It's been such a rough road for them, and finally they have their little one. He was worth the wait though! At 6 pounds he is tiny and adorable, and laid back--just how we like 'em!





Did I mention he's extremely flexible too?!

a permanent home

This little princess was recently adopted into loving arms. She comes all the way from Ethiopia, and she couldn't have been placed in better hands. And what a cutie she is! Her eyes just light up the room. I have so much respect and love for this family, and I could go on and on about them, but pictures are worth a thousand words anyway, so here you go...







No more monkeys jumpin' on the bed!

My website and email are down, so if you've emailed me since Friday and haven't received a response, that's why. You can call me at 317.745.0481 or just wait until my website is up to email me again (if the website is back up, email is probably working too). I am hoping it will be fixed sometime Monday! :) And since no post would be complete without a picture...these are really random.

This guy had some really gorgeous peepers (and really cool hair)!


You've seen this little peanut before--but I was so happy when her mommy took my recommendation of ordering this in a 12x12; it looked so great in print.


We have the best neighbors in the world. Their daughters babysit for us (sometimes on a moments' notice), and they are such nice Christian people. I love to see teenagers who have manners and who don't act like typical teenagers! Here are the parents who raised such wonderful daughters:

The dad of this adorable family asked me if they win the award for least photogenic. Umm...I'll let you be the judge, but I'm thinking that's a big fat NO. :)

last session of the year

I'm looking forward to a little break and some much needed time to edit past sessions! I'm so happy to end 2008 on a good note. Thank goodness we had this session before the temperature got into the single digits--here is a high school cutie...not a senior, but I think his mom had one of those moments that all of us moms have where we sense time slipping away, and we just want to capture it before it's away from us. And who in their right mind wouldn't want to get some shots of this guy? :)

such a nice gift

This past spring, I got a call from a man who had started his own home building business. He wanted to give a gift certificate to a family who had just moved into the home he had built. So I sent one his way, and then I never heard anything. A few months ago, I did get a call from the recipient of the gift certificate. This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting them (and I do mean it was a pleasure...they were genuinely sweet people), and they pointed out the frame he had given to them in which to place his gift of an 8x10. We did a few more shots, but I hope they put this one in the frame:


And mom had a special request to shoot the girls playing the piano...this one is my favorite from that sequence.


And of course I couldn't resist getting each child in his/her room.
